The Negroamaro grape, literally translated as 'black-bitter', forms the beating heart of winemaking in Puglia. A6MANI has created an interpretation with the Lifili line that tames the natural power of the grape into an extremely elegant and drinkable wine. The vineyards are located in the rolling landscape of Salento, where the red, iron-rich soil and the constant sea breeze produce grapes with thick skins and enormous aromatic richness.

After careful fermentation at controlled temperatures, the wine is given time to rest, allowing the tannins to soften and the fruity core to fully blossom. At Brouwhoeve, we appreciate this Negroamaro for its versatility and honesty; it is a wine that does not need pretensions to impress. The craftsmanship of the three female winemakers behind A6MANI is palpable in every sip through the precision and pure finish.

Taste & character

Aroma An intense perfume of blackberries and ripe plums, subtly framed by hints of thyme, rosemary, and a touch of licorice.

Palate The mouth is filled with a meaty structure and flavors of dark forest fruits, where the typical light bitterness of the Negroamaro is beautifully interwoven with soft, round tannins.

Finish A persistent, warm finish with a spicy undertone and a final hint of dark chocolate.

  • Serve this wine at a temperature of about 16°C to 18°C for the ideal balance between fruit and structure.
